Total Talent Consultants is looking for an X-Ray Technologist who can Prepare and position patients for radiologic procedures while ensuring radiation safety and infection control. Operates radiographic equipment, selects appropriate technical factors, and produces high-quality diagnostic images, repeating studies when necessary. Verifies patient identity, explains procedures, confirms pregnancy status when applicable, and documents required information in the hospital system.

Performs routine and complex exams (including chest, extremities, GI studies, IVPs, and cholangiography) under a Radiologist’s direction. Maintains accurate exam records, monitors equipment functionality, reports issues or unusual events, and provides portable X-rays as needed. Ensures exam rooms are clean, stocked, and compliant with safety standards.

Follows Diagnostic Imaging Service policies across all modalities (CT, MRI, Ultrasound, and Diagnostic), including after-hours and on-call procedures. Provides professional customer service, and adheres to attendance standards.


Requirements:

  1. Successful completion of an accredited educational training program in which technologists are certified as Diagnostic Radiologic Technologists by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and must be certified for their specialty. 
  2. Technologists must be currently certified in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS). 
  3. Two years' experience in the operation of diagnostic radiology equipment under the direction of a Radiologist or other medical officer to produce radiographic studies/images used in medical diagnosis and treatment. 
  4. Must have worked within a hospital lab setting as an X-Ray Tech in the last six months. 
  5. Provide evidence of current professional liability insurance. 
  6. Be available to work at least six (6) months after starting date. 


Shift Schedule:

Shifts may consist of 8-, 9-, or 10-hour schedules based on departmental needs.

  • 8-hour shifts: Typically five (5) days per week with a 30-minute meal break.
  • 9-hour shifts: Typically a rotating schedule of four (4) and five (5) days per week with a 30-minute meal break.
  • 10-hour shifts: Typically four (4) days per week.

Rotating weekend and holiday coverage may be required. Work hours may vary based on operational needs.

Overtime, on-call, and call-back duties may be required, including during emergent situations. Compensation for overtime, on-call, and call-back will be in accordance with the Contractor’s Federal Supply Schedule Price List terms and conditions.

Minimum assignments are two (2) days (16 hours per position), with potential for longer assignments based on Government needs.
