Total Talent is looking for a MRI Technologist who performs routine and complex MRI examinations in accordance with protocols established by MRI Radiologists, including advanced imaging of the head, neck, spine, chest, abdomen, and extremities. Operates a superconductive MRI system, ensuring proper technical factor selection and high-quality diagnostic imaging.

Verifies patient identity, explains procedures, screens for pregnancy and MRI safety contraindications, and ensures accurate documentation in the hospital information system. Maintains complete and accurate exam records and ensures proper image labeling and transmission.

Adheres to all MRI and facility safety standards, including infection control and equipment safety checks. Reports equipment malfunctions, safety concerns, and unusual events to the Radiologist or supervisory technologist as appropriate.

Provides professional patient care, maintains a clean and organized work area, supports after-hours and on-call coverage as required, and follows all Radiology/Diagnostic Imaging Service policies across modalities.


Requirements:

  1. Successful completion of an accredited educational training program in which technologists are certified as Diagnostic Radiologic Technologists by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and must be certified for their specialty. 
  2. Technologists must be currently certified in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS). 
  3. Two years experience in the operation of diagnostic radiology equipment under the direction of a Radiologist or other medical officer to produce radiographic studies/images used in medical diagnosis and treatment. 
  4. Must have worked within a hospital lab setting as an MRI Tech in the last six months. 
  5. Provide evidence of current professional liability insurance. 
  6. Be available to work at least six (6) months after starting date. 


Shift schedule:

Shifts may consist of 8-, 9-, or 10-hour schedules based on departmental needs.

  • 8-hour shifts: Typically five (5) days per week with a 30-minute meal break.
  • 9-hour shifts: Typically a rotating schedule of four (4) and five (5) days per week with a 30-minute meal break.
  • 10-hour shifts: Typically four (4) days per week.

Rotating weekend and holiday coverage may be required. Work hours may vary based on operational needs.

Overtime, on-call, and call-back duties may be required, including during emergent situations. Compensation for overtime, on-call, and call-back will be in accordance with the Contractor’s Federal Supply Schedule Price List terms and conditions.

Minimum assignments are two (2) days (16 hours per position), with potential for longer assignments based on Government needs.
