Are you an experienced maintenance leader with a passion for keeping heavy equipment running at peak performance? We're looking for an Equipment Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance operations for a growing drilling services organization. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader who enjoys building teams, improving processes, and ensuring equipment reliability in a fast-paced environment.


As the Equipment Maintenance Manager, you'll oversee the maintenance and repair of our fleet of heavy-duty trucks, trailers, drilling equipment, and support vehicles. You'll lead a team of skilled mechanics while ensuring our equipment remains safe, compliant, and ready to support critical field operations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of mechanics and maintenance personnel.
  • Oversee preventative maintenance and repair schedules to maximize equipment uptime.
  • Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, and company safety standards.
  • Manage maintenance budgets, vendor relationships, and shop operations.
  • Diagnose maintenance trends and implement process improvements.
  • Coordinate inspections, repairs, and emergency maintenance.
  • Maintain detailed maintenance records and fleet documentation.
  • Recommend equipment upgrades and replacement strategies.
  • Manage IRP registrations, tag renewals, and fleet licensing.
  • Track monthly and quarterly fuel usage and fleet performance.
  • Oversee gauge calibration and equipment tracking.
  • Monitor fleet telematics and safety systems, including Lytx reporting.
  • Partner with operations to ensure equipment availability and support project timelines.


What We're Looking For

We're seeking a leader who combines technical expertise with strong operational and people management skills.

Qualifications

  • 3-5+ years of hands-on experience maintaining heavy-duty diesel equipment.
  • 2+ years of supervisory or management experience leading maintenance teams.
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and heavy equipment diagnostics.
  • Experience managing fleet maintenance software and maintenance reporting.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, negotiate with vendors, and improve operational efficiency.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.


Preferred Qualifications

  • ASE Medium/Heavy Truck Certification or Master Truck Certification.
  • Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
  • Experience supporting construction, drilling, utility, or industrial equipment fleets.
