Total Talent is looking for Nursing Assistants which includes Nursing Aide, Orderly and Attendants who provides basic care to patients and helps them carry out certain daily tasks they cannot do on their own due to illness. They work in home care, correctional institutions, hospitals, nursing homes and other health care centers. 

They need qualifying specialized experience including nonprofessional nursing care work in a hospital, outpatient clinic, nursing home, or other medical, nursing, or patient care facility, or in such work as that of a home health aide performing duties such as:

Providing personal nursing care such as providing pre- and post-operative care.

Support duties for diagnostic and technical treatment procedures, such as setting up and operating special medical equipment and apparatus.

Caring for mentally ill patients, including observing, recording, and reporting changes in their behavior, and providing reassurance and encouragement.

Assisting surgeons and registered nurses in operating room activities, including passing instruments, maintaining sterile conditions, and draping and positioning patients.

Requirements:

• Certification: Current, active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification from any U.S. state.
• Life Support: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and CPR certification through an American Heart Association (AHA) approved provider. Must be able to demonstrate CPR competency.
• Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of recent CNA experience (within the past six months) in a medical/surgical unit, long-term care/nursing home setting, or inpatient psychiatric unit.

Uniform Requirements:

• Contract personnel are required to provide their own royal blue scrubs and professional nametag.
• Proper uniform and identification badge must be worn at all times while on grounds.
• Scrubs will be provided for personnel assigned to the operating room or sterile processing.
