We are looking for Emergency Room RN for our client in Cleveland, OH.


Key Responsibilities

The ED RN shall be responsible for:

  •         Triage and prioritization of patients based on acuity
  •         Patient assessments and emergency nursing care
  •         Administration of medications and IV therapies
  •         Monitoring and documentation of vital signs and patient response
  •         Critical care nursing support
  •         Scrub and circulating duties within the Emergency Department
  •         Obtaining patient and family histories
  •         Developing and revising plans of care
  •         Electronic medical record documentation
  •         Carrying out physician orders and documenting patient care
  •         Communicating patient status changes to physicians and nursing leadership
  •         Interpreting cardiac rhythms and telemetry monitoring
  •         Operating emergency equipment including:
  •  Defibrillators
  • EKG machines
  • Cardiac monitors
  •         Initiating life-saving measures in the absence of physicians
  •         Assisting with emergency procedures and diagnostic interventions
  •         Central line and ventilator care
  •         Skin assessments and prevention of hospital-acquired pressure ulcers
  •         Care of patients with catheters and prostheses
  •         Patient and family education
  •         Participation in discharge planning
  •         Maintaining professional decorum and customer service standards
  •         Participation in quality improvement activities and staff meetings

Requirements

  •         Graduation from a school of professional nursing accredited by ACEN or CCNE
  •         Current license from the Ohio Board of Nursing or current multi-state license from a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
  •         Current CPR certification through the American Heart Association
  •         Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  •         Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
  •         Minimum of two (2) years of direct patient care experience within the last three (3) years
  •         Emergency department or critical care nursing experience preferred
  •         Ability to interpret cardiac rhythms and respond to emergencies
  •         Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English fluently
  •         Demonstrated competency in electronic health record documentation
  •         Completion of all required VA mandatory training and credentialing requirements
  •         Ability to work days, nights, evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled

Pay up to:$47+ an hour dependent on training, accreditations, schooling and years of experience
