We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our clients' healthcare team. As an OT, you will assess, plan, and implement treatment strategies to help individuals of all ages overcome physical, mental, or developmental challenges that affect their ability to perform daily activities. The ideal candidate will have excellent clinical knowledge, communication skills, and a passion for improving patients' quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities to determine their needs and goals.
  • Treatment Planning: Develop personalized treatment plans based on assessments, focusing on improving patients' ability to perform daily tasks such as dressing, cooking, bathing, and working.
  • Therapeutic Interventions: Implement therapeutic exercises, activities, and techniques to help patients recover or adapt to physical or cognitive limitations.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on coping strategies, adaptive techniques, and home modifications to improve safety and independence.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare professionals, such as physical therapists, physicians, nurses, and speech therapists, to ensure holistic patient care.
  • Progress Monitoring: Track and document patient progress, modify treatment plans as needed, and report progress to the healthcare team and families.
  • Assistive Technology: Recommend and teach patients how to use adaptive devices or equipment (e.g., wheelchairs, grab bars, or prosthetics) to improve functionality and independence.
  • Emotional Support: Provide emotional support to patients and their families, helping them adjust to changes in their functional abilities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Master’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Licensing/Certification: Current Occupational Therapist license in [state/country] (or eligibility to obtain licensure).
  • Experience:Proven experience working as an occupational therapist in a clinical, hospital, or rehabilitation setting.
  • Knowledge of treatment techniques for a variety of conditions, such as neurological, orthopedic, developmental, or cognitive disorders.
  • Skills:Strong clinical skills in assessment, treatment planning, and intervention.
  • Ability to work with diverse patient populations, including children, adults, and seniors.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills to track patient progress and maintain accurate records.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a specific area of occupational therapy (e.g., pediatrics, geriatrics, neurological rehabilitation).
  • CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Knowledge of adaptive technology or specialized therapeutic techniques.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and assist patients as necessary, including providing support during transfers or mobility training.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, such as demonstrating exercises or using therapy equipment.
  • Must be able to work in a clinical environment, standing, walking, and assisting patients throughout the day.

Work Environment:

  • Work in a healthcare setting, such as a hospital, clinic, rehabilitation facility, or outpatient therapy center.
  • May involve working with patients who have physical, cognitive, or emotional challenges.
  • Work hours may vary, with some flexibility required to meet patient needs.
