We are hiring for Medical Surgical RN's for our client in Cleveland, OH.


Shift Schedule: 3 Different Shifts - Day - 0730 - 2000; Evening - 1130 - 2400, 1530 - 2400; Night - 1930 - 0800, 2330 - 0800

Rate: $40.00 to 48.00+ dependent upon level of experience and education.


The RN will support patients requiring medical-surgical care, telemetry monitoring, orthopedic care, oncology treatment, neurological rehabilitation, post-operative recovery, and progressive care services.


Skills/Experience:Key Responsibilities

The Med-Surg RN shall be responsible for:

  •          Patient assessments and symptom management
  •          Medication administration
  •          IV therapy and fluid replacement
  •          Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm observation
  •          Admissions, discharges, and internal/external transfers
  •          Interdisciplinary team coordination
  •          Delegating to assistive personnel
  •          Electronic medical record documentation
  •          Patient transport
  •          Emergency response procedures
  •          Central line care
  •          Heparin drip management and coagulation bridging
  •          Chest tube and drainage tube management
  •          Foley catheter and ostomy care
  •          Wound care and wound vacuum therapy
  •          Pain management
  •          Pre-operative and post-operative nursing care
  •          Blood product administration
  •          Oncology and chemotherapy-related symptom management
  •          Rehabilitation and neurological care support
  •          Monitoring for sepsis, respiratory complications, cardiac conditions, and other acute care conditions
  •          Participation in quality improvement activities and staff meetings

Required Skills:Requirements

  •          Graduation from a school of professional nursing accredited by ACEN or CCNE
  •          Current license from the Ohio Board of Nursing or current multi-state license from a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
  •          Current CPR certification through the American Heart Association
  •          Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  •          Minimum of two (2) years of direct patient care experience within the last three (3) years
  •          Experience in acute care medical-surgical nursing preferred
  •          Ability to interpret telemetry and cardiac monitoring
  •          Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English fluently
  •          Demonstrated competency in electronic health record documentation
  •          Completion of all required mandatory training and credentialing requirements
  •          Ability to work days, nights, evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
